Western PA's Forklift Dealer Since 1984

Langer Material Handling was founded in December 1984 by William "Bill" Langer Jr. — a material handling veteran with 29 years of industry experience. Bill and his eldest son Kevin started the company as an independent service operation, selling and renting used forklifts and building a reputation for straight-forward service in Western Pennsylvania.

Over the decades, the company grew into a full-line authorized dealership — signing on brand after brand as manufacturers recognized Langer's commitment to customer service. In January 2013, Bill retired and Kevin acquired the business, continuing the family tradition into its second generation.

Today, Langer serves as a national distributor for Bulmor Sideloaders and an authorized dealer for NOBLELIFT Electric, Harlo Rough Terrain, and the Doosan-powered Bobcat® forklift line. Same family. Same values. Same phone number you can count on.

We service all makes and models, stock OEM parts, offer flexible rentals, and provide OSHA-compliant operator training — everything your operation needs, from one dealer you can trust.

Our History

Company History — Founded December 1984

Dec 1984

William "Bill" Langer Jr. founds Langer Material Handling with his eldest son Kevin. Bill brought 29 years of industry experience and started the company as an independent service operation — selling and renting used forklifts from the ground up.

1986

Signed first manufacturer partnership with AC Material Handling Company (later Kalmar-AC), marking the transition from independent service to authorized dealership.

1991

Relocated from Gibsonia to a new facility in Glade Mill Industrial Park, Valencia, PA — the home base Langer still operates from today.

1993

Added Mitsubishi forklift products to the lineup, expanding the new equipment offering for Western PA customers.

2005

Added Cat lift trucks, broadening the portfolio to serve a wider range of industries and applications across the region.

2010

Expanded further with the Jungheinrich forklift line, adding European electric and warehouse equipment to the offering.

Jan 2013

Founder Bill Langer retires after nearly 30 years at the helm. Son Kevin acquires the business — second-generation family ownership begins.

2016

Added Doosan and Heli lift truck lines in fall 2016, continuing to build out one of Western PA's most complete forklift dealerships.

Today

Kevin Langer leads the company as a national distributor for Bulmor Sideloaders and authorized dealer for NOBLELIFT, Harlo, and more — 40+ years of family ownership and counting.
